Where to Find the Cheapest Back-to-School Supplies

It is the dreaded time again. Back-to-School shopping with your kids. What do they need to go back to school and where can you find the best deals? Don’t worry. I have you covered. Below is a complete list of items that your child may need. The basic items I researched to find the best deals.
Binder, 1-inch
Walmart has 1-inch binders on sale for $2.88.
Binder, 2-inch
Amazon has the best deal, but you need to buy six for a total of $13.37. That breaks down to $2.23 per binder. Walmart has the next best price at $3.58!
Composition Notebook
Staples and Office Depot both have Composition Notebooks on sale for as low as .50 apiece. This is an awesome price!
Construction Paper, fifty sheets
Staples has an impressive deal on construction paper: 12x9 96 sheets in eight assorted colors for only $2.49! Do not want that much? Amazon has Prang (formerly Sunworks) twelve-by-nine fifty sheets for $2.18!
Divider Tabs, 5-Count
Walmart has these for .67, but when I went back on the website, I could not find them again. Amazon has the Avery brand 5-count divider tabs for only .85!
Notebook Paper, 150 sheets
Office Depot has 150 sheets of notebook paper on sale for only $1.29!
Folder, Paper 2 pockets
Walmart has the paper two pocket folders for only .50!
3-Hole Punch
Walmart has a 3-hole punch for $4.44 and Amazon have 3-hole punch available for only $4.13!
1-Hole Punch
The Dollar Tree has them for $1.25, but the last two times I went there, they were out of them. If you cannot find them there, go to Hobby Lobby and purchase them for only $1.49!
Index Cards 3x5, 100-count
Amazon and Office Depot both have 100-count three-by-five index cards for only .99!
Paper Clips, 100-count
For a 120-count regular size, Amazon has silver or gold or assorted colors for only .99! If you like bigger 2-inch paper clips, Amazon has a box of one hundred for $1.29!
Spiral 1-Subject Notebook
I always look forward to Walmart’s Back-to-School sale because these babies are only .25 apiece! (Regularly .94)
Spiral 3-Subject Notebook
Again, Walmart to the rescue! One 3-subject notebook is only $1.44!
Spiral 5-Subject Notebook
Office Depot has these 5-subject notebooks for only $4.99 (regularly $10.79)!
Eraser, Pink Rubber
Walmart has a package of 3 Pink Pearl Erasers on sale for $1.44, but you can get 6 for $1.25 at The Dollar Tree.
Mechanical Pencils
On Amazon you can get the Big Xtra Precision 24-count of Mechanical Pencils for only $3.94 (regularly $6.99) which costs only .16 apiece!
Wooden Ticonderoga Pencils
Get the great wooden Ticonderoga Pencils on sale on Amazon for only .12 apiece when you purchase a 96-count box (regularly $17.98). That is a 37% savings!
Pencil Plastic Box
Michaels has these in five assorted colors for only .99!
Pencil cap erasers, 12-count
Staples has a 12-count of eraser caps on sale for just .50 per pack (regularly $2.19)!
Pencil Sharpener
Office Depot and Staples have their pencil sharpeners on sale for only .50 (regularly $1.39).
Pens
Amazon has a 60-count box of Bic Pens for $4.99 which would be only .08. pen OR get a 10-count box of Bic Pens for .99 which would be less than .10 apiece.
Colored Pencils, 12-count
Staples has a 12-count box of Crayola colored pencils for only .99!
Crayons, 24-count
At Walmart and Staples, they have a 24-count box of Crayola crayons for as low as .50!!!!!
Highlighters
Go on Amazon and get 5 Bic Brite highlighters for $1.42!
Markers, 10-count
Staples has a Crayola Marker 10-count on sale for only .99! (Regularly $4.49)
Elmer’s Glue
Staples has this for only .30, but it is currently out of stock. Walmart has the best price at .54 per 4-ounce bottle (regularly .92). They also have a generic brand glue for only .25! Target has the glue on sale for .55 per 4-ounce bottle (regularly .97).
Ruler, plastic
Staples has their wooden rulers marked down to only .47 (regularly $1.99), but if you miss that sale, go to Hobby Lobby where their plastic rulers are marked down to .79!
Scissors, Full Size
While the Dollar Tree does have scissors for $1.25, I personally like Amazon’s Annie Cutting Scissors better for the same price of $1.25.
Scissors, Kid Size
The Wescott Right and Left-Handed Scissors 2-pack on Amazon is only $1.99! (This is great if you’re not sure if your little one is left-handed or right-handed!
Stapler, Full-Sized
Dollar Tree would be the best buy for only $1.25, but that would be a small stapler. Staples has the larger sized staplers starting at $6.19.
So, there you have it. A decent list of where to find the cheapest Back-to-School supplies!
